Spring Forward at the Lake District’s 300 Cornwall

agosta ca 400x256 Spring Forward at the Lake Districts 300 Cornwall

In 2011 Agosta Builders completed a row house designed by Owen Kennerly of Kennerly Architecture and Planning.  That home was featured in the New York Times Home Section in February of 2012 and was open to view on the AIA San Francisco’s Home Tours. Now the team of Owen Kennerly and Agosta Builders is ready to turn heads yet again with their latest project of six new condos in San Francisco’s Lake District only 2 blocks from the historic Presidio.  The project is 300 Cornwall, located at the corner of 4th Avenue and California, listed by Colleen Cotter and Frank Nolan of Vanguard Properties.

This development is built on the geometry of the site with a striking façade. The interlocking units are like prisms with contrasting colors and natural wood panels.  Each condo has 2 bedrooms plus a study and features private outdoor space. According to Kennerly Architectures website, “We conceive buildings as experiences, not merely artifacts–this endeavor integrates structure, space, light, and material to maximize comfort, utility, and expression.”  300 Cornwall certainly lives up the to the architect’s philosophy.

These new homes are both sustainably built and technologically advanced.  One of the coolest tech features is the use of Thru-View Technology which allows you to see what is behind each wall and ceiling in a digitized format. Construction is nearing completion and sales will begin soon. The final condo map has been approved and recorded.

Renderings 2299 Market St 11 400x2661 2299 Market Street: Castros Condo Development Named ICON Coming to Market

ICON is exclusively represented by Paragon Real Estate Group.

2299 Market Street is The Castro’s newest condo development, named ICON, which will be coming to market in the near future.  According to SFGate, the site which locals refer to as  ”The Hole in the Ground”–a 31-year-old vacant lot–at Market and 16th Streets, was previously the site of another mixed-use development in progress. That location, which was the former site of the Trinity Methodist Church, will now be known appropriately as ICON.  From the award-winning architect team of ib&a and developer Angus McCarthy, 2299 Market Street will be a luxury new building consisting of 18 market-rate condominiums.

ICON, like most luxury boutique developments, will feature a contemporary lobby. An elevator will stop on all levels of this steel and concrete building, which has been engineered to the highest standards. A courtyard with the feel of a zen garden will be easily maintained and enjoyed by all residents. The developer has promised that there will be a distinctive architectural style and high quality finishes which will be consistently maintained in every unit.

For more information about ICON at 2299 Market Street or other new developments in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood, please contact Todd Montgomery at 415.203.6022 or todd@climbSF.com.

ICON is exclusively represented by Paragon Real Estate Group.

The banner is now up at the Castro’s newest development on 2299 Market Street proclaiming its new name: ICON.  2299 Market Street is a boutique collection of 18 units in the heart of the Castro and is made up of eight 1-bedroom units, eight 2-bedroom units and two townhouse units.  The units range in size from 635 to over 1,500 sq. ft., with only 5 units on each level.

ICON is brought to you by the noted developers of such projects as 69 Clementina, 723 Taylor, 415 Bryant Street and 25 other projects both in San Francisco and internationally.  These luxury condo homes have been built to the highest standards.  The competition for these new condos will be substantial, as will the competition for one of only 14 available parking spaces.  Unit prices and parking space allotment will not be determined for a few more weeks, so stay tuned or contact me to find out these details.

ICON will be finished exquisitely with floor-to-ceiling windows, white oak pearl-finish hardwood floors, oak kitchen cabinetry, Italian porcelain-tiled backsplash and stone slab countertops.  Spa-like baths feature Italian cabinetry, porcelain tile, oversized walk-in rain showers, glass enclosures, chrome fixtures and designer lighting.  Stay updated on this project here on SF New Developments or at http://sfnewhomes.com/listings/2299market/.
