It’s time to disclaim differing opinions expressed by a few local blogs regarding parking at One Rincon Hill. Opinions will vary but let’s look at the flip side regarding the unique positives of valet parking service at One Rincon Hill.
I recently toured with a client looking for a second home. My client, a married restaurant owner from Fresno , was looking for a second home in the Soma area. He was very familiar with the parking issues in the region and immediately expressed concern regarding the parking glut in the area and challenges he foresaw for family members and friends looking for parking. Safety was an issue in addition to convenience.
The purchase would be a second home to accommodate family and friends. He expressed immediate pleasure when introduced to valet parking at One Rincon Hill. The option to lease a secondary parking access @ $150 per month was also a big plus for my prospect. Secondary parking at One Rincon Hill is available while the 2nd building is on hold. Additionally, One Rincon Hill is one of the few buildings that can accommodate added guest parking on site. Guests can visit free for the first hour with 24 hour parking maxing at $20.00. Many Soma area garage locations are charging more than $300 monthly and a minimum of $10.00 per hour.
One Rincon Hill residents enjoy valet parking service. The valet service offers added luxury for owners who appreciate the avoidance of hassles associated with City parking and special convenience with Valet service. The courteous personal services extended with valet parking are a real pleasure. Many residents say the valet service and personal attention extended is one of the greatest attributes to living at One Rincon Hill.
The Valet service is managed and operated by ABM/AMPCO Parking Service. This organization is a licensed, bonded and insured company seasoned in condominium projects. The management and staff are well trained and attentive to individual needs. The valet service is run with the aid of a state of the art automated valet software system. Residents simply input their assigned code by phone and no less than the time it takes to grab your keys and head downstairs your vehicle is waiting for your departure. (Timeline will vary)
Some misconceptions exist regarding access and control of vehicles in the One Rincon Hill parking garage. The following are features evident in the Rincon One Hill parking area:
1.Damage Control: Ampco is the licensed Valet parking service provider. Ampco is fully bonded and insured with damage insurance. All vehicles are screened upon arrival and departure.
2. Residents have access to their vehicles. If you find that you have misplaced or need to gather something from your car after parking simply call down and the attendants can either escort you to your vehicle or pull it up for your convenience.
3. Commuting hours are staffed up to accommodate the morning and afternoon surge. One Rincon has a very diverse group of residents. Many residents are visiting on a seasonal basis and on weekends. A large percentage of residents aren’t using the valet service with the usual 9-5 crowd that may be leaving for a 9:00 am meeting.
4. Another great amenity of the valet service is the Hotel-like cart service. Carts are available in the parking area free of charge to unload groceries and luggage at no additional charge. Extra space is available in the staging area to accommodate move ins, unloading family, baby carriages and miscellaneous items.
5. You own the parking license. Parking is included in the HOA Service.
As indicated initially, opinions vary and this is just another perspective regarding Valet service at One Rincon Hill. Valet service has its appeal in multiple aspects and from my personal experience, as a resident at One Rincon Hill, I fully endorse Valet as a great service. I especially give the management and its entire staff kudos with a “big thumbs up”. The staff is cordial, warm and always remember the “magic” of your name.
