888 7th Street Café, Bike Path, & Closings…

As of today, the sales team at 888 7th Street reports having 90 homes in escrow and another 84 in contract, putting them at about 78% sold. The remaining Jr. 1BR homes range from $399k-$439k and are about 500 square feet. Remaining Loft condominiums start at $499k, and 3BR homes start at $719k. Each home comes with a deeded parking space. Their most popular home at the moment is the egg-shaped #125, a great deal for a 3BR in the Showplace Square neighborhood of San Francisco. Visionary architect David Baker was recently photographed in front of the building for a feature in Dwell Magazine, and the cover story is sure to spark new interest in the development.

The space currently being occupied by the 888 7th Street sales office has already been purchased by The Dajani group, who brought us Nihon Whiskey Lounge, Tsunami Sushi, and Café Abir in San Francisco. Their plans are to turn it into a café, giving homeowners an even more local option for a cup of coffee than the Starbucks across the street. (There is another commercial space still available the 7th Street side.)
