One Rincon Hill II in 2009? Californian to be Apartments?

One Rincon Hill‘s highly anticipated second tower will most likely start sales in spring 2009 according to J.K. Dineen of the San Francisco Business Times. With many units to have completely unobstructed and panoramic views of the city, water, and bridge, this 319 unit tower will start excavation work starting in May.

The developer for One Rincon Hill has recently secured a construction loan and are in the midst of selecting a new construction company to construct the second tower.

Also, on the other side of Harrison St at the corner of Fremont and Harrison, the Californian at 375 Fremont St is RUMORED to be built and rented out as apartments (presumably to be converted to condos at a future date). Not sure if Fifield sold this building or is just proceeding with it’s construction or neither? Anyone hear anything out there?

Any word on a design change for the Californian? Wasn’t it bought by an Australian developer or something…maybe Anka Development?
I hope there is a design tweak. Although I like the northern side of the Californian, the rest of it seems pretty bland and boxy. On a side note…are there any new renderings of 45 Lansing availabe?

  2. ginthemission Says:

I just realized that this is a rendering of the Heller Manus project on Fremont not the Californian. I actually like the Californian design. The building shown is just east of it and I believe is for sale as well.

You’re right. I changed it to the Californian rendering. I also corrected the address for the Californian, which is 375 Fremont. Thanks for catching that. I haven’t seen anything new for 45 Lansing. With their construction/sales office reported to open later this year, I hope we’ll see something soon.
