2 Colin P Kelly (aka 72 Townsend)
Bumping into an architect from SB Architects on a tour of The Lansing one fine summer day 2 years ago, he told me he was working on a project at “72 Townsend” at the intersection of South Beach’s Townsend and Colin P Kelly. Finally, I think we can see the light at the proverbial end-of-the-tunnel with these great renderings of the 100 ft tall, 74 unit mix-used building with street-level retail.
The original building is known as Hooper’s South End Grain Warehouse building and built in 1874 and the facade will be preserved.
West Bay Builders is the developer (also did Symphony Towers on Van Ness) and bought the building last year. Polaris Group is the marketing company.
