Towering opinions on Rincon high-rise

One Rincon Hill, the tall condo tower going up next to the Bay Bridge on Rincon Hill, may be the most controversial San Francisco landmark since the Transamerica Pyramid remade the city skyline 35 years ago.
Love it or hate it, there is little dispute that One Rincon seems to have made an impression on the city. For one thing, the units, which range in price from $500,000 to $2 million-plus, have sold very well.
The present One Rincon tower has 377 condominiums and 14 townhouses. Urban West Properties, which developed the property, says all but six condo units have been sold, plus two of the 14 townhouses.
